CES 2011: Sony debuts Vaio F Series 3D laptop with new Nvidia GeForce GT 540M graphics

The new addition to the Vaio F series features a new Intel Core i7 quad-core Sandy Bridge, along with the brand-new Nvidia GeForce GT 540M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated RAM. It has a 3D LED-backlit 16-inch display (1,920×1,080 resolution) and includes a pair of active-shutter 3D glasses. It also features a 3D button that converts 2D video and images into 3D.

The Vaio F Series 3D laptop will be available for pre-order through Sony’s Web site next month for an approximate price of $1,700, and then will be sold by other retailers later this winter, according to Sony.
